Trailer, take 2!

Alrighty!
I've finally got the second trailer up, I've changed the size for youtube and I've added music - which was done by Mr. R -! Only a few more changes I need to make, most likely for a third one, and then I've finished with it.
Here is the second Request Teaser Trailer!

Also I wasn't going to release this for ages.
But what the hell.

I've got the first downloadable level for Request!
DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

It's still got a really long way to go and all the graphics will be re-done but I thought I'd upload it anyway. Just to show you the voice and one of the puzzles.
I know that there is no body in the chair, I will be adding one.

NOTE:
- Move with the arrow keys.
- You need to step on all of the platforms, in the correct order.
- If you step on the wrong platform an ugly note will come from it.
- If you step on the correct platform, a pretty note will come from it.

Good-luck!

That's it from me for a while.
Sheesh, a working trailer, and a working demo?!
That's more than I've done in the entire blog!

Anywho, ciao!

Okay, we're up!

Hey guys.

I thought that I'd update on how Request is going.

- As you all know, the scripts were deleted when everything was wiped. So I've finally restarted them.

- I've also requested some more voice actors. So hopefully soon I should get a few.

- I've been working extremely hard over the past few days. I've been working on the butcher AI. Hopefully when it's done I'll be able to upload a working video of the butcher boss. Maybe in a week or two.

- I've also starting working on the cutscenes, and they are looking great! I can't wait to show you them.

Expect another update soon!

Great news!!

I have officially completed the Movement and Lighting for request!
It has been finished in a really short ammount of time as well! I'm really amazed at how quickley I managed to do it.

Also, I managed to get the first Request Teaser Trailer up!
NOTE: This will be changed multiple times.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD_tXgfcwQg

This clip does not have any sound as of yet. Although the next version definatly will have music & sound.

I am very happy to say that the lighting effects in this game are going to be top-notch! Like I said earlier, they're completed. But there is a minor glitch. So far, I've got them to flicker (like abanoned assylum lights do) but when you have more then one of them in the room. They dissapear. So currently I'm attempting to overcome that problem. And homefull it's going to be fixed relatively soon.

Hmmm. When should I post a demo?
Well, like I said I've only got Movement and Lighting completed. None of greys puzzles as of yet, so maybe a week or two - 3 weeks at the max.
That way I'll have atleast some of greys puzzles to show you. The lighting fixed and basically everything that a beta demo should have!

So yeah. Tl;Dr?
I've completed the lighting and movement.
Uploaded video here.
Lighting has a glitch.
Beta demo should be out in less than 3 weeks.

Thanks for reading!
And as always, comment and follow!!

Okay...okay...I know

Wow, it's been such a long time since I posted here.
I really should get a move on.

Unfortunatly, due to a computer wipe, the executable of Request is gone. As well as all the scripts and information.

But I still have the idea fresh in my head, and I'm working extremly hard to try and re-do those scripts.

I feel that the reason that I haven't been posting much is because I haven't got that many people reading the blog. That's why I need your help to get this blog out there! Then I can always remember to update it!
I will be advertising it also. Anywhere possible.

Also! I am setting a release date for Request, but I'm not telling as of yet.
This week, I'm not working thoroughly on the game. But on a teaser video.

Look forward to that soon!
Anyway, that's it from me!

I'll update soon with more!

Ideas

I need ideas for some traps.
Because we've barely picked an apple from the gruesome tree, we need some ones where people die, and there is a massive ammount of blood and gore.

So far, a 9 year old could play this game. And probably wet his pants.
We want fully grown men to get up and change their jocks when they play this game!!

If you have a suggestion. Please, please let me know.
I'm running dry on ideas. And because I'm working solo for this one, I'm gonna have to work thrice as hard!

Also, our graphics are getting really nice. I'm hoping that soon some pics will be up. So I can show you guys what I've been working on constantly.

Unfortunatly, the only thing that this WIP is lacking in, is sounds. Voice acting AND music. But trust me, the finishing product will send shivers down your spine and make you keep looking behind you shoulder, just to make sure that Grey isn't standing there.

Oh! And I can't believe it! You guys let me down!
We didn't get a single vote for last weeks poll! Come on guys. This time, let's try and get atleast 5!

Anyway, sorry I don't alot of information this time around.
But next time, I definatly will.

Thanks for tuning in!

Some graphics.

Okay, well, after getting our first follower (thanks Angry_clown) I think we should start showing some graphics from the game!

First off, here 3 different Chainsaws (made by me) that are going to be used in the level "The grinder".

http://img136.imageshack.us/i/chainsawblue.png/
http://img32.imageshack.us/i/chainsawred.png/

There will be plenty more coming, trust me.

Also, I thought I might let you in on another trap that will show up in one of the levels.

WARNING, this has alot of gruesome moments:

Bruce: It's not there!

Grey: Try a little higher.

Bruce: Tip toes higher forcing the spikes going deeper into his back.

Nathan: Dad!

Bruce: Turns around an notices how low the spikes are.

Nathan: Dad, it hurts! Cries

Bruce: Hang on son! Jumps up as the spikes penetrate the skin, into his spine.

Nathan: Dad! Screams. AHHHHHH!

Remember to follow the blog, and comment on all of our posts :)
Thanks.

Great Progress.

I'm proud to announce a great ammount of progress on the game, we've had sprites added, scripts completed and as of 3 days ago, a voice actor has submitted a line (only 1 as of now) that, believe me, is totally awesome!

Chapter 1 has been completed a few minutes ago, and I'm proud to announce that we did not go easy on the blood :P
We now have a total of 2 flash-backs in the script, and are very helpful to the story, so when playing remember them.

We're now editing Chapter 1 (all rooms) and would love some help if anyone wants to download all of Chapter 1 (and the 1 room in Chapter 0) and lend us a hand by editing the incorrect grammar (if any).
If you want to get a chance to help then please email me at:
tristan_l_a_h@yahoo.com.au
And I'll see what I can do.

Also, just to let you know, that I'm currently trying to get into contact with the director of Saw. So remember to keep checking up on the updates to see if we've managed to do it!

There will be plenty more soon. And tommorow (if your lucky) I'll upload some of the voice acting we've got.

So until then,
Ciao!
